I’ve got a few things just to wrap everything up now that the Supernatural Summer tour is over. I don’t want you to miss anything!
1. After the last event in Canada, Aprilynne Pike, Lesley Livinston, and I did a podcast of our experiences over the previous three days. It’s now up at this link. I’ve not gone to listen to it myself–I was there -laugh- HcN podcast 85
2. If you’ve not seen it, the book trailer for EARLY TO DEATH, EARLY TO RISE, is kind of cool. Book Trailer.
3. I have a post on the Supernatural Summer Blog talking about my traditions and rituals for getting through a week of airplanes, hotel food, and lack of sleep. Routine, Tradition, Ritual and another blog about writer interuptus and finally, also on the Supernatural Summer website, is a contest to put words into the mouths of Aleix and Xander, my office assistants. We want to go, too
4. And then there are the pictures! Here are the links to the nine cities I visited for the Madison Release, and while I’m at it, here’s the links to the Hollows release as well. I had a great touring season, and I loved getting out and seeing some of my old friends/readers, and meeting some new ones as well, but after looking at my schedule, I now realize why I am so tired. -grin- Dudes, I’m taking a week off from the drama box. I really need it. You guys are F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S!!!

Here you go, guys. I’m on VACATION! Mysterious Galaxy
I’m in San Diego this morning, and getting ready for the final event at Mysterious Galaxy! Mysterious Galaxy is one of my favorite stores to sign in, and it should be interesting with four of us in there. It’s probably going to be a ticketed event, which means that you can go very early, get your free ticket (place in line) and then go shopping until closer to the event.
I also have an exclusive post on my rituals and pre-signing traditions that you might be interested in. It’s over at the Supernatural Summer site. Here Leave your comment’s there (if you can) It makes me look good. -grin-
And finally, if I did it right, a link to the EARLY TO DEATH, EARLY TO RISE book trailer. Too. Cool.
The pictures are up of the last event in Chicago, where Kelley, Kimberly, Ellen and I were joined by Elizabeth, the winner of the Supernatural Summer Tour writing contest. She and her dad were flown in for the event and we got a chance to talk with her afterwards over a bowl of Coldstone. Mmmm, just the thing after a signing. Pictures
Apart from a short post linking to tonight’s pictures, this will be the last post for a few days as I get myself back home and realign my thinking to summer. I need a few days to recoup, but I’ll be back before you know it.
We have a slow start to the morning today, with a few hours to relax and have breakfast before jumping a plane to Houston, and it feels good. Last night’s event at Borders went extremely well, and I’ve got the pictures up already. It was Aprilynne Pike’s last night with us, and I will miss her! But Ellen and Kimberly are wonderful, and tonight we will be joined by Kelley Armstrong when we sign at:
Barnes and Nobel
If you’re in the area, come on out! We’ve got lots of freebies, and the Q&A has been fantastic! How often do you get to hear four answers to your writing questions?
Supernatural Summer Tour is headed for Texas tonight, where Kim Harrison, Ellen Schrieber, Aprilynne Pike, and Kimberly Derting will be signing at Borders Dallas.
Last night was a fabulous event at B&N in Atlanta GA. Pictures and lots of YouTubes up at the website.
And EARLY TO DEATH, EARLY TO RISE came in at a very respectable 10 on the Children’s chapter book list. Whoo-hoo! Happy dance!
And don’t forget! If you have a caption for the caption contest, hop on over to the Supernatural Summer tour and enter t he contest. Don’t enter here, do it there!
Kansas City was wonderful! It was a great crowd, and the questions were both about our worlds and our writing processes. Pictures are up at the website already, but very few YouTubes! It’s okay, guys. It’s a new bunny cam, but he doesn’t bite! -grin-
Guy did take a YouTube of me answering the question “how much research” The audio is a little weak, but it’s there.
Tonight is B&N at Atlanta GA.
7660 Northpoint Parkway
PS I’ve got a picture caption contest going at the Supernatural summer right now, so hop on over and put words to Aleix and Xander as they sit in my suitcase! Supernatural Summer Caption Contest.
I had a great couple of days off, but Guy and I are on the road once more. Tonight at 7:00 pm, Aprilynne, Ellen, and I will be hosting a signing event at the Johnson County Public Library (913) 495-2400
I’ve got a new bunny cam, and freebies for Madison and the Hollows, so come on out and bring your questions.
Hope to see you there!
