Enter the AMERICAN DEMON ARC give-away

** UPDATE** Jo has won and claimed the second ARC. Come back every Tuesday April and May for a chance to win another.

Hi all.

It’s the second give-away for an ARC of AMERICAN DEMON. I’ll be doing this every Tuesday from now until June. Here’s how you enter today!

Using an email you have access to for the next five days, email Tim at <coldtoastwritingsllc@comcast.net>  Put “Favorite Homemade cookie” in the subject line so we know you’re entering the contest. In the email, tell me your favorite homemade cookie! (You can also share it here. Bonus points for a picture!–which actually get you nothing except the chance to brag about your baking skills.) One entry per household please.

I will cut off entries at midnight, PST on Wednesday, April 8. I will announce the winner on Thursday morning, AND email them back for the address where they want me to mail the ARC to as well as find out if and how they want me to sign it.  Winners will have until that 3/10 Friday midnight to get back to me to claim the ARC and tell me their mailing address. If I don’t hear from you by Friday, 3/10, midnight, the ARC goes back in the pool and I will give away two next week. Amber won last week out of an amazing 2000+ entries. Congrats, Amber!

Out of the U.S? You can still enter. ARCs have no cash value, though they may get held up in customs forever. Books will go out USPS media mail, which takes some time. Chance of winning depends upon how many enter. Winners will be chosen by a random number generator, and I can’t be responsible for mail that goes astray.

That’s it. Apart from coming  back next Tuesday to enter again with a new question! I’ve got a bunch of these to give away.

And good luck!

If you want to skip the chaos and pre-order, I have a list of my favorite stores that I’ve signed at. If you like your local store where they are, please consider ordering online from them. Not just my book, but any book.

  1. My favorite all time cookie was my Grandmom’s sugar cookies ❤ Unfortunately, the recipe has been lost since she died when I was 19 and I am now 48 and will be 49 this Friday and we did not have wonderful home computers back then to save recipes on, just paper and pen to write them down on and no one can find the recipe for the life of them. I have however found something close at a local grocery store near me, but they are hit and miss because some days they are not as thin as she made them and not as perfectly cooked as she made them or they put too many sugar sprinkles on them or not enough, well you get the idea. I have tried so many times to duplicate the recipe to no avail and it breaks my heart. I have however been able to duplicate her what she called her Easter Egg recipe, which is basically like a cheese cake bite covered in chocolate and they are so yummy. I think I need to make some of these while we are in our "stay at home" status ❤ Stay safe everyone and remember to check Kim's Twitter in the morning for her 30 seconds of beauty to breathe by, I know I do and it's absolutely beautiful mediation ❤ ❤

My favorite homemade cookie is called a Swedish Snowball Cookie. It is a family recipe that is passed down from my great Grandma’s family.

It’s a walnut based cookie that is fine ground (melts like butter) and coated with powdered sugar multiple times (once while hot, so the sugar literally melts into the cookie, then twice more when cooled so no patches remain). It is so good, people request I make them all the time!
