Man, just when I thought we might have seen the last of the sub zero, we dip down again. It’s not unusual for Michigan to hit the minus mark, but it’s usually only once a year. I’ve got a feeling that even with the foot of snow the garden is buried under that I will have a few plants not returning in the spring. Zone designations are more like guidelines, not rules. (rolls eyes)
At least I know my bittersweet can take it. And even though it is six this morning, I am thinking on it with a stirring of excitement. I can’t wait to see how it does in my garden this next year.
But you are here for the winners for the Black Magic Sanction give away! The emails have already gone out, so check your in-box to see if you’ve won. You have to email me back by Friday, noon, EST to claim your prize, or I give it to the next person on the list. And the winners are:

Congratulations, guys! And thank you for playing along with me.
And since I’ve got your ear, the second installment of Trouble on Reserve should be popping up today. http://www.wattpad.com/36158376-trouble-on-reserve-part-2Β Here’s the link if you’ve not “friended” or signed up, or whatever the term is for Wattpad for updates to your fav writers. (I’m still new to it.)
Also, we are very close to being a month out, which means Harper will start releasing entire chapters of The Undead Pool. (Yay!) Keep checking back. I’ll let you know. Chapter one is already at the website. ( Start reading )
Hey Kim,
Missed your last give away. Funny how I’m always a day late. Thanks to you and guy I got my T for ever after and my hubby got to have you sign my book even tho I was a day late for the shirts. I got the shirt for undeadpool like the day you announced, sniff no west coast. Fingers crossed the last hollows book, shirt and tour will all work out and I’ll even get to be there. You have inspired me to write. The best advice you gave is there is no wrong way except to not write. So I am to amuse myself and relieve stress. Thanks so much. Your a wonderful writer and an awesome inspiration. π
Hugs!
P.S. Sending you a virtual latte for warmth. \_/ Hope it helps
Diane, that’s wonderful that you write. I hope it never leaves you. π
Sorry to hear you’re so cold up there in the northern hemisphere. Here on the other side of the world we’ve been gobsmacked by news coverage of the snow and ice you’re forced to put up with. Strange to know your garden is buried under snow, Kim, while ours was burned to a frazzle in 5 days over 40C last week. It was so hot – even on our usually more temperate mountain – traffic had to be re-routed to stop the tyres tearing the melted asphalt off some of our roads. Ah the irony!
Sending you and your plants thoughts of comfort and warmth π
Wow. That’s hot. That’s really hot. Phew!
how do we enter the contests?
Well, this last one is over. They usually last 24 hours, and you enter by commenting at the post that I’m running the give-away from. I’ll have another one on February 3rd.
So excited for more chapters, I check everyday!!!
Hello Kim!
I had hoped the single digits were behind us already! Can you or anyone who reads this tell me which book explains the meaning of Rachel pack tattoo? I would appreciate it!!
Thank you π
she gets her tattoo in Perfect Blood
Freezing here in Canada too, wood stove is barely keeping house warm!
Vampyre, Save time by holding the ‘Ctrl” button & the ‘End’ button to get to the end of the post fast. π
My area is getting more snow (lake effect) & cold temps again too! Only I saw the strangest thing yesterday out my kitchen window. A group of 5 Robins were in the trees behind the house. I double checked, I thought I was seeing things. Today it’s only the Black birds playing in the falling snow. π
Hi Gail. Robins are a sign that spring’s on the way, right? We don’t have many of them here in Oz… My strange and wonderful thing this week was a lizard trying to climb into a cup of (cool) coffee I’d sat on a ledge in 46C heat. You should have seen him shimmy into the little puddle of water I poured for him afterwards. Aaahh!
Hi Carol, Yes I hope it’s a sign of spring, but alas, I know we will go straight to summer sometime in June. LOL Good to hear that your helping the wildlife. He must have been really desperate to try to drink your coffee. Poor little guy. You stay cool, I’m going to try to stay warm. π
It is hard to wait for spring and the gardens coming back to life. I got my Burpee seed catalog last week and have been dreaming. Lets see if this cold weather killed my mint. No, not a snowballs chance of that happening.
Good morning Kim! Just thought I would share with you, that once again, my birthday present from my hubby (at my request) is your next book! It always seems to fall like that lately, the new book comes out around my birthday – either way, purposefully or not, I thank you! π
Howdy ma’am,
With all the responses yesterday, I doubt you saw my suggestion. If you could move the response box to the top it would make entering contests easier. It takes awhile to scroll through Several hundred post to enter. Some devices don’t have enough RAM to do it. π
V^^^^V
you tell me where word press has that option, and I’ll do it.
That is so cool, Carra. I hope you enjoy it!
