Glad it’s Friday

I’m glad it’s Friday, though that means that the first week in April is gone.  Dudes, that was fast.  I’ve really got to start cranking the pages.

  1. Hey Ms. Harrison,
This weekend went too quickly. 🙂 But, I reached my 100 pages with script frenzy.
That really wasn’t very hard. LOL. Oh well, here’s to NaNo in November. 🙂
Hope you had a good one.

  3. Fridays are good. Oh, did I tell you I love this time of year? It’s because I live right next to an orange grove, and oh my gosh, the blossoms! I love the smell!

  4. I am also glad it is Friday. This week has been a helluva week.

I keep posting off topic, but as there is no other way to message you, there ya go.

I just wanted to say that the Hollows books are some of the best I’ve ever read, and I read *a lot*.

I finished the series this past Wednesday, the day after BMS came out on the Kindle. I’ve moved on to Kelley Armstrong’s books, but my mind keeps returning to Rachel and the gang. This is not to denigrate Ms. Armstrong, she’s good. I usually forget and move on pretty easily, but the Hollows keep bubbling to the surface of my mind.

Anyway, no real point here, just, great work, and I look forward to the next book.

I am missing something…somewhere the news had to have been posted…but, what happened? Your ebooks are suddenly no longer available. I’ve bought every book as an electronic format. I live on a boat and don’t have space to buy the actual hard prints…and I don’t care for audio books since I do not hear well. This is a massive disappointment. It was available on fictionwise for a “pre order” and then disappeared about the day it was supposed to be available for actual purchase. 😦

    • Hi, Kittie. I’m still waiting to hear back from my editor as to why the titles were pulled from fictionwise, but I think it’s because there is a contract agreement that as gone bad. You can still get the books as e-books, but you might have to go through another reputable dealer.

Hi Kim. I’m still here. Just catching up in the blog…and whoa. San Diego. Woot 🙂

  8. You go girl! Channel that Wonder Woman self and wield your golden lasso on those little bunnies hopping around! 🙂

Then have a fantastic weekend, whether you keep at it or chill out.

    • Yeah, it’s the weekend…”Be still like vegetables. Lay like broccoli”. 😉

    • Tiffany

I’m driving through the desert right now and thought it might make you smile to know that spring is all over the place here. I’ve never seen it so green 🙂

    • Thanks, Tiffany. Weekends are for chilling, or the next week is very unproductive. And thanks for the update on spring. It’s beautiful where I am, too.

Have a great weekend. I hope you get some quality time with the fam, the dirt, and some me time too (gotta have that mommy me time, lol).

The tot and I just got back into town. I am amazed at how my dad got so much better while we were there (I’d like to think it was the tot :)) Now, hopefully he’ll continue to recover.

Now I have to do all that stuff that comes from getting back into town, laundry, grocery shopping, getting the tot ready for school to start back up again monday. Sigh. At least Steampunkapalooza is going well, and we have amazing guests, but man, it’s a lot of work, lol.

    Happy weekend!

  10. Hey, sorry to post again, it’s me, but this time with a profile of my own and stuff. 🙂

  11. marsha

Hey! I thought you were going to take time off to spend with family this week. If you did, I hope you all had a wonderful time. If you didn’t…you should do so next week.

  12. lizzy

This week did go by really fast. So this has nothing to with anything but I’m getting married tomorrow! Sorry had to say it. I’m telling everyone. I know I’m driving my mom nuts. Have a great weekend everyone!

  13. Jenn

As for my Friday, it’s going pretty good! There are 3 of is with a birthday before the 12th of April & we brought in a Chocolate Fountain with fruit, cookies & gummies to dip in it! I brought the chocolate fountain. I’ve been smelling Chocoate since 6am 🙂

Hope you all have a great weekend!

    • Chelikins

      Chocolate… yummmmmmmmmmm!

    • Jenn

Thanks for the wishes Chris! I’m sure that there were pineapple wedges left for you by the time you got there…it went all day long!

    • I’ve got the dates and times up at the website, Jenn. 😉 That would be very cool to see you there. 😉 Hope you had a great day!

  14. Chastity

This entire year has flown by for me…where did it go? Sometimes it can seem overwhelming…so much to do, but not enough time to get it all done. Here’s hoping you have better luck getting things done than I seem to be having! Much Love!

  15. Kim, thank you for the time you’ve spent on this blog, and any time you are able to give us in the future. The fact that you comment, no matter how short, to each person is lovely, but I doubt any of your long term fans would begrudge you the extra time you would get by cutting back here.

The insights you’ve given us as to how you work are invaluable, and I hope that the writers here come back to thank you in part for helping them become published.

    • Jenn

      Hear, hear!
I agree completely. We would totally understand 🙂
We are all very greatful to be a part of your life & your work process. You are by far the best author I have come in contact with. You give so much of yourself.
Sending you hugs & pixie kisses!

    • Greg

Absolutely, 100%, no doubt about it, completely agree!

    • SeattleRobin

Add me in for a me too. A lot of times I just want to comment, but don’t need a reply. A compromise could be to just comment to new posters and those who ask questions.

    • Chelikins

I agree.. the time you give us is a gift that we cherish. If you need to cut back on us a bit that is ok. We know you give your gift caringly!

    • marsha

You know you have to be apretty great person to have the fans you do, not said just because I’m one of them. We are grateful, and I think we do understand your need to have time for personal projects.

    • suzannelazear

I totally agree. i especially love hearing about your writing/creative process. Thanks for spending so much time with us. 🙂 We treasure it. but save time for yourself and you fam too. We’ll still be here. 🙂

    • JanisHarrison

I’d like to echo Mudepoz and all the others. I treasure the blog, and am delighted that you reply; however, I don’t necessarily need a personal reply every time I post. So be frugal with your time here; I won’t mind.

    • Tina ~ WI

I agree 100% with Mud! Thanks for taking the time to give us a little insite into your creative world.

    • Chris

I, for one, am totally disheartened when there is no new post. 😉 Just kidding of course. The time and insight you give us into your world are blessings AND that you take the time to respond to almost every post is incredible. It just shows what kind of person you really are. Thank you Kim.

    • Judi in NJ

I agree also, Kim! and well said Mud! I sometimes want to post but lurk instead because you are SO gracious with EVERY comment and I feel bad. Take some time for yourself, kick back and smell those beautiful things you grow in your beautiful garden! We appreciate you, we love you, we know you dig us, too; but go grab some “me time”…we’ll be here! Thanks for taking your time and making us feel so special! NO OTHER AUTHOR that I read does what you do! xoxo

    • Agreed, Kim. I love hearing about your life as a person, your processes as a writer, and getting to talk with you about your books. And as someone who treasures this, for sure I want what nurtures you and helps you meet your goals – I know we all do.

      Namaste _/\_

    • Thank you, Mindy, and everyone else, too. I don’t want to let the drama box go, but something has to give in order to maintain my balance. Hopefully the new method I’m putting in place will work. I love staying accessible. You guys have been very good to me.

  16. Greg

The first week in April is gone already. On the one hand I’m a bit upset that time is flying so fast (deadlines, deadlines, deadlines! (on a side note, anybody else notice that the word “deadline” starts with “dead”? I wonder if its root came from a ley line that somebody like Rachel managed to drain completely. :)).

On the other hand, I have a week vacation coming up in early May. School will let out, and I’m heading on a plane with my wife to Orlando for some fun at Disney. 🙂 Yay!

I’m about 3/4 of the way finished with BMS. I won’t do spoilers here, but all I can say is what a ride! I’ve laughed, cried, worried, and been scared. The best book yet.

  17. Randa

Kim, you tease us so! I keep watching the days go by so fast and I worry that Ill be 30 before I even know it! I soon shall be gardening. There are tons of weeds in my beds right now.
