I have this mild (maybe excessive) obsession with Trent that seems to drive my desire to read lately. However, reading the 3rd chapter reminds me why I love these books to begin with. Seeing how the story unfolds is so exciting. That said, this chapter reminds me of how far Rachel and crew have come. When you compare relationships from the first book with current relationships it is really quite astounding. Nick was the one man, beyond Jinx, Rachel trusted–she feared Al and Trent. Now she trusts Trent and Al explicitly and despises Nick. Kim, you never cease to amaze me.
Jenks’ response to Rachel & Queen’s meet & discussion shocked me as much as Rachel I think. Kennedy, I was thinking along those same lines as I read. Rachel figured out something way before Al. THAT is unusual!
Anyone else having issues with Kindle Fire not being able to load the chapter? Ughhh my laptop picked a great time to need a new charging cable!
It’s not just your Kindle. I think something is going on with the cite. I wanted to go back and reread chapter 2 but it keeps giving me an error message.
I finally got it to open the site on my iPhone but it took forever. Maybe it is the site.
FYI, the link opened just fine with my Kindle just now.
dragonwillow: Try a different browser. On Firefox all I get is gibberish, on Safari I can read the chapters just fine.
I’m still holding out, waiting for the whole book, for my turn at a library copy. I’m early on the reserve list, so it shouldn’t be more than a few weeks…
